From our desk: A bimonthly newsletter exploring community, parenting and play

Newsletter

Welcome to the Bi-Monthly Newsletter from Parents' Nook. Our goal is to create care-spaces for families based on the local parenting community's needs, thus fostering a thriving local economy. We encourage you to participate and provide feedback on our community experimentation, as it will guide us in developing complex adaptive systems for parenting communities that meet the needs of all involved.
Our dream: We reimagine a world where Nooks collaborating with neighborhood public spaces may become a futuristic public good scenario, and support and regenerate the community care-economy in the process.

September Update:

It's been quite a few months that we have not updated you on what is going on with Parents' Nook. I am realizing it's been a while. Even though I missed reaching out to you all about our thoughts, plans and work we also believe not spamming with info when it can wait. We all are busy and we @Parents' Nook want this newsletter to be a meaningful resource for the parenting and caregiving community.

💡
While we start working on the updates, I would like you all to think for a few minutes on what might the evolving care scenarios look like? What it means in this changing work scenario? Are there ways we might be able to incorporate our parenting moments in our very demanding work scenarios? And why we say that the care spaces might need to work together with evolving parent needs to create a sustainable care environment for everyone to thrive?

Before we dive deep, we would like to share with you all that we are collaborating, with GroundFloorClub,Oakland to create care spaces for parents and children and the next set of trial Nooks. This is a next step in our journey and we would love you all to participate. The project thrives on participation from community and as always we would love your encouragement and support.

We think this collaboration will create the alternate care spaces we as parents and caregivers are always searching for. Please register below and share the information with friends and families who all might be interested .
