Hello and welcome to the Parents' Nook Newsletter! We are thrilled to have you here. Our main objective is to create safe and nurturing spaces for families that cater to the unique needs of our local parenting community. By doing so, we hope to contribute to a flourishing local economy. We would love for you to get involved and share your thoughts on our community initiatives. Your feedback will help us develop adaptive systems that benefit everyone in our parenting community. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
Our dream: We reimagine a world where Nooks collaborating with neighborhood public and private spaces may become a futuristic scenario, and support and regenerate the community care economy.
🌸Happy Spring, Parents' Nook Families!🌱
Spring has officially sprung—bringing sunshine, fresh beginnings, and endless possibilities to explore and grow together. At Parents' Nook, we're thrilled to embrace the energy and curiosity that this season inspires.
This month, we have lots of exciting updates, enriching activities, and inspiring stories to share with you. Let's celebrate the joy of community, connection, and play as we welcome this beautiful season together.
Parents' Nook is a micro-community network:
As many of you have noticed over the past few months, we've been collaborating closely with educators and parents who've reached out, eager to bring Nooks into their communities. Through these experiences, we've recognized an exciting evolution: each Nook is naturally becoming self-sufficient, guided by dedicated educators who deeply align with our core philosophies. We do have some ideas of what it may look like, but we would like to let it evolve itself for some time more. Its exciting.
We're thrilled by this development and look forward to nurturing more of these community-driven, educator-led Nooks!
Note: We won't be accepting more requests to host Nooks at the moment. We want to work with the Nooks that is already happening in the extended community.

Teacher Lin’s Garden Nook and New Moon Nook
Teacher Lin has recently launched her micro-newsletter, and we simply can't get enough of it! As a longtime Waldorf and RIE educator, her spaces offer a gentle haven where curiosity flourishes, children play joyfully, and parents find connection and community. We highly recommend checking out her inspiring insights and thoughtful updates! Sharing a few snippets from her garden program.

Introducing South Bay Nook @Be Natural Music, Cupertino
It all began with a new mom who was interested in trying out a Nook but wanted a firsthand reference from someone who had already attended. Thankfully, a local South Bay mom, who had experienced the Nooks firsthand, warmly referred us. We’re deeply grateful for this community support—thank you for sharing the love and trust within the Parents' Nook community!
We reached out to our community, Virginia, the lead teacher of this space, found the space within a week of a time, and here we are working with Be Natural Music, Cupertino to offer Parents' Nook to the South Bay Community.
The Nook Introducing Southbay Parents’ Nook: A Cozy Micro-Community for Parents/Families and Caregivers starts from 27th March, from 10am-1pm, onwards for a series of 5 sessions. We would need registrations at least 48 hr in advance. We look forward to serving many of you in your parenting journey.

We're excited to introduce a micro-newsletter concept from each of our micro-communities! These newsletters will offer snapshots, updates, and insights unique to each Nook. Keep an eye on them here—it's a wonderful way to stay connected with the warmth and activity happening in every corner of our Parents' Nook family.
We are getting questions on how does a Play look like in a Nook? What is Play? And what we can expect?
We are planning to start exclusive updates for registered parents of Nooks, detailing how the play might look in a Nook. Each Nook is deeply inspired by its environment.
What is Play?
Play is joy. When we play we are fully integrated into ourselves and we feel at one with the world. This is the wisdom of childhood. For a young child, the adult's role is that of a protective facilitator, and through that activity one finds a childhood in oneself that is both health giving and life enhancing.
Quoting William Blake
"I have no name;
I am but two days old."
What shall I call thee?
"I happy am,
Joy is my name"
Sweet joy befall thee!"
Play is a wholly absorbing activity from which logic, social skills, , memory, fulfillment, and values are derived. More on this later.
We'll keep this month's newsletter short and sweet, as things are wonderfully busy here at Parents' Nook. Thank you for being an essential part of our growing community!
Warmly,
The Parents' Nook Team
