In today’s world, the way we work and raise families keeps shifting, often faster than the communities around us can keep up. Many parents are stretched thin, searching for spaces that are nurturing for children, supportive for parents, and rooted in trust.
As the world changes, our new way of care needs to shift. Over 100 nooks and serving a lot of families and space partners later, we are certain that this is a model that might create sustainable ways of care for neighborhood families.
That’s where Nooks come in. Nooks transform familiar spaces into micro-communities where:
- Parents can cowork, rest, or connect with neighbors.
- Children enjoy open-ended play guided by trusted facilitators from
- Families build bonds that grow stronger with each gathering.
Over the years, we’ve seen how these small, consistent circles create big shifts, turning ordinary mornings into networks of trust, care, and resilience.
We set this up so you can get to know us better, what we value, how sessions run, and how we support families.
At our upcoming Meet & Greet, you’ll get to:
- Meet the people who are behind this collaboration
- Connect with other parents who care about micro-communities.
- Experience firsthand how a Nook feels — a space where children thrive and parents exhale.
- Share feedback and thoughts. It will help us do better. And we take feedback seriously.

South Bay Nooks, sparked by founding families.
These gatherings are initiated by families who’ve attended Nooks repeatedly, understand the model, and want to bring it to their own neighborhoods. It’s a great way to meet nearby parents while your child enjoys open-ended play. Over time, we consistently see what matters most: trust grows among families who show up together.
To make Nooks sustainable for families, facilitators, and spaces, we’ve updated our offerings. They’re designed to give parents flexibility from drop-in options to multi-week series, with sibling discounts built in.
We’d also love to learn more about your family’s needs, what helps your days run smoother, what your child enjoys, and what support you’re seeking. Meeting in person is the best way to get a feel for Nooks (and for you to get a feel for us).
See you this Saturday
With warmth and love
Parents' Nook and Nesting Spot team.
